Hi Everyone!
When we start out on the Debt-Free Wannabe trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the Gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free...
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
Seems no one has started us off yet this morning, so thought i would

Hi everyone!!

So far ive rang Tesco about my order that was delivered Monday as they took out the wrong amount (i declined a substitution and they didnt take it off the bill)
Emptied and refilled dishwasher, cleaned the table, chairs and highchair, hoovered dining room, made my bed (was about to do the childrens' but smelt poo and found my lovely DS had smeared it on the wal downstairs :puke: so then cleaned that and him up! phew what a morning!!

Check banks and budget to make sure they are right. DONE
Get husband to do the balance transfer to our 0% CC :T And close the 2 paid off credit cards we have (both his name so his responsibility)
Finish sorting the craft drawers to sell a few bits (mostly puzzles they dont do any more, will need to check they arent missing pieces)
Wrap some Xmas presents if DD2 goes to sleep before school run and DS plays nicely whilst she sleeps. DONE
Read through the policy documents for my new car insurance, got it yesterday saving me ALOT of money compared to what i paid this year (we have 2 cars to insure and last year it was over £1300 total, this year its under £700 :T) so need to make sure everything is correct!
Post office run when i pick DD1 up from school.

Morning all,
Thanks for starting thread, Happytails......looks like a busy day for folk today. Oh.....Ziggy, you crept in....hello!
Today's very small list of very small things:
*Ran heated airer overnight on Economy 7 tariff & turned it off as soon as I got up.
*Did the ironing. Switched off for final item & used residual heat.
*Did a couple of surveys.
*Checked ebay listings. No more sales, but not really surprised as this stuff is on its final listing & is then off to the charity shop.
*Pulled & cooked last of the beetroot.
*Meals as per meal plans - jacket potatoes.
*Hot water from kettle saved in flask towards next drink.
*Cardi & handknitted warm socks ON, heating still off, although bathroom heater did go on for about an hour first thing.
*Do prize crossword.....someone's got to win it.
*Continue knitting Christmas present for F-I-L.
*Call at village farm shop for nice inexpensive little choclatey item to add to a birthday present.......try my hardest not to be tempted by goodies we don't need.
*Find spare envelope to fit a birthday card so I don't have to go out & buy another one.
*Defrost home made soup for mr f's packed lunch tomorrow.
*Watch first episode of Lovefilm dvd......trying to get the best use out of our subscription, so trying to get a quicker turnover.
Have a good day, & keep your hands on your pennies.

2) To read 50 books (12/50) 3) The Re-Shrinking of Foxgloves 8.1kg/30kg
Remember....if you have to put it on a credit card, extend your overdraft or take out a loan to buy whatever it is, you probably can't afford it, as that's not your money, it's somebody else's!0 -

Hi all
I've been away for a while and spent a small fortune so am now back into MSE mode!
Today I have/will:
1. Brought lunch and snacks from home (half carton and soup, piece of bread and a tunnocks tea cake!)
2. Have dinner from stores this evening (not really that MSE as did a shop last night and was more than I wanted to spend but better than eating out and we've all gotta eat!)
3. Make use of free tea/coffee/water at work.
4. Stop being a wimp and turn off the bl**dy heating tonight and instead wrap up with extra layers and fluffy socks (and try to get the cat to snuggle up for extra warmth!)
5. Use lounge lamp and candles rather than the big, electricity sucking lights (plus the ambience is much better!)
6. Have a NSD (should manage this until Friday night when I want to do my shop for next week as this will keep me out of the pub/take away too)
7. Re-use the piece of foil I brought my bread into work with today (is that skanky? to be fair it didn't have butter on it)
8. Watch the programmes I missed on sky whilst I was away and read my book (to avoid buying dvds etc and to distract me from shopping online)
I've also told my parents not to get me ANY gifts at Christmas. Bless them, they always give me some cash which is great but they also feel bad I've nothing to open so end up buying me things I don't really need and which then go to waste. So have told them not to get me a single thing this year because if they feel they want to give me cash (to be fair, it's cash my dad wins on the horses rather than 'their' cash) then that's great.I want to be a writer0 -
Afternoon DFW-Jedis,
Thanks for the starter HappyTails.
Lulabelle I unashamedly re-use tin foil.
Brief visit today.
The List:
Evaluated whether broadband contact is good value. Due for renewal soon.
Free exercise in the form of a walk to the Post Office.
Made a new "What If" financial plan with my OH to reflect what'll happen if/when I start new job.
Tidied household paperwork folder.

2. Got my grocery list done with all vouchers and coupons I can used and am totally organised for each shop- UH HA
3. Found out how to freeze eggs (take out of shell, put individual egg in ice cube tray and freeze in air tight container if you're wondering) since by lucky chance I got a double voucher for free range eggs on sale - WHOO HOO!
4. My third no spend day in a row - HELLS YEAH
5. Trying to cost our weekend outing, but apparently council staff have a no answer phone/email policy, as is the tradition in most countries I suspect - BOO
6. Lunches from home - YUM, plus I don't like most convenience food so works out well
7. Just enough sunshine to take the pooch for his walk later, might spend some time in the forrest near home while he uses the time to try and find every single stick to 'claim' - HMMMM
8. Checked bankaccount and spreadsheets and its all as it should be - AWESOME
9. Taking care of the slight flu I have with stuff aroud the house like vit C and honey - SNIFFLEDebt as of March 2018, £794 rent arrears £4273.7 debt, £900.70 in pay day loans, total £5968.40 . Total debt today £5968.40
