    No reason and yes, the other exception is if you are standing up for a statutory right and you get dismissed for this but no employer in their right mind would admit that so proving it is very hard.
    Don't trust a forum for advice. Get proper paid advice. Any advice given should always be checked

    No I think takeaway addict is referring to rights enshrined on law e.g. The right under TULRA not to be discriminated against due to trade union membership or activity
