No reason and yes, the other exception is if you are standing up for a statutory right and you get dismissed for this but no employer in their right mind would admit that so proving it is very hard.Would they have to provide a valid reason for doing so, or they can dismiss someone for any reason of their choosing?- aside from discrimination of course as you've statedDon't trust a forum for advice.
