OP can you please clarify what you actually mean, as what you have wrote is not something you should really be discussing on the net.

The police is the avenue where you need to be going.

I truly hope the OP is not using the term sexual assault when it is nothing of the sort. Makes it so much more difficult for the real victims when a term is devalued.

Totally agree, sounds to me like words were said not sexual assault,
from someone who has been sexual assaulted in the past, I find this quite disgusting.

  • I tought I could come on here and get some advice but all some people want is the awful details of what happened.
I don't use the term sexual assault lightly, or do I devalue it in anyway ILW I know the difference between sexual and verbal the give away signs were where he had his hands and what he was doing gave it away.
I am truly sorry if anyone was offended by what I posted but iteuly did not know where else I could get some advice from, not everyone is clued up on stuff hence why they come on forums such as this, for help, if I wanted to truly offend people perhaps I would have put all the sordid details on here.
Sorry again, I shan't bother any of you again.

Also speaking from experience, the OP is still a victim of abuse. Perhaps it's better to educate than revile.

Where was his hand? What did he do?

E.g. "Hello darling" while scratching balls because he's itchy. Calls everyone 'darling' thinking it's polite, and well, he's itchy. Labelled sexual assault because it's interpreted as masturbating while staring at you.

Are you sure he sexually assaulted you or is it just a misunderstanding?

    Hi
Is it possible to put a claim in for loss of earnings due to being off work with stress after I was sexually assaulted by a supervisor at work? My union did put me in touch with a solicitor and she has said that it was just workplace banter and although it has left me feeling very very upset she believes that the company are now dealing with the matter.
Any advice would be much appreciated.

I am confused OP. Your solicitor said it was "banter" which implies it was a verbal incident, sexual assault has to involve some kind of inappropriate touching not just inappropriate language. So, was it verbal or physical?

Is it any wonder so few victims of sexual assault come forward when faced with attitudes like this? Would you be saying the same if it was your wife, or your daughter?

I doubt they'll be back. Too many people jumped on them without bothering to establish the facts.
