Free Tesco bagels with Philidelpia soft cheese

In my Tesco Metro there are 200g packs of Philidelphia on offer for £1 with a sticker on the lid you remove at till point to scan for a free pack of Tesco's own bagels (worth £1.20) :-)

My store did not have stickers on the lids but there was a large picture ad on the front of the shelf stating the offer. Picked up 1x philly and 1x pk bagels. Got charged £1 + £1.20. Went stright to C.S. , had to go back to the cheese section....S.A. removed the promo label and said to another...'I'm taking this down, it's not working'. Back to C.S. ...she said we owe you £1.20, I said 'no, I've been overcharged so that's £2.40 refund. Result!....so they paid me 20p to walk away with 2 free items. Hope it works for others.

They didnt have any bagels at the store i went to but had the philadelphia, im sure they used to do something if they didnt have the stock to fulfill a deal. What happens now? None of the staff knew about it...

I fought my way and got a pack of free new york bagels instead :-P

Good for you. What with signs up but offer doesn't work, stickered packs without stickers on, and now no bagels!...Still, it all adds up, and 'every little helps!'
