Job offer whilst in middle of mortgage transaction

Hi

I am currently in a position where an offer has been made on a property. It has been accepted, mortgage arranged and awaiting a valuation/home buyers from lender which should happen in the next week or so.

I am currently employed and have just been given a new opprtunity at another work place with my old boss who is the manager there... Its a better job, better salary and much more in what i am looking for and its also working for my old boss who i would love to have the opportunity to work with again.

If i was to get this new opportunity, does it affect my mortgage application? I am in the early stages yet and have an interview this week.

If i was offered the role and accepted do i need to let my lender know?

Many thanks

I work in HR and we have to do financial references. We are often asked if employees are subject to a probationary period. I think lenders want to know you have a secure role before they lend.

You need to disclose any change in your circumstances, material to the lender's decision to lend to you.

Some lenders may be happy to lend, even if you will be in a probationary period, but if your case was a bit shaky to begin with, altering employment from three plus years to nil months may tip you from a pass to a fail.
