Natwest Mortgage Process

Hi just a quick question,
I have applied for a mortgage with Natwest via my broker and the survey of the prospective house has been instructed, will I get credit checked again now? Or is that part of it all done?
The house that I own outright seems to have the remortgage going through which is also with Natwest and I have had Natwest Solicitors letters through for this from Enact asking me to sign and stuff.
If someone could advise that would be great.
Many thanks

I understand you can be credit checked at any point up to completion.
If you're considering taking out further credit between now and completion (an assumption, I know) then advice is usually to avoid doing so.0 -
But I thought unless they were sure that your credit check was fine, it would not get to the surveyor stage?0

They can always run a late credit check e.g. just before completion to see whether anything has cropped up in the meantime.0

Okay so now the house I hope to buy is being surveyed tomorrow, does it then go to the underwriters? Or have they already made a decision about my credit worthiness and they have to confirm the value of the house.
They have all my payslips, they have written to my employers etc etc.
My broker seems to think it is all plain sailing now. I am just flummoxed and a nervous wreck.0 -
This really is unbelievable. Now apparently after the survey of the potential house my mortgage has been picked to be audited by the underwriting team, and the property that I am living in which I own outright and which I was told by my broker had been surveyed has yet according to my brokers underling to be surveyed (I had been told by my broker that it had been a driveby survey).
I had told my broker the truth about my one default that I had paid off, I have had the feeling for now nearly going on 6 months, that this chap has been lying to me all the way through.0
