Old Crafty Hen, more than half price!

Hi all,

Surprised to see Old Crafty Hen in the bottled ale multi deal at Tesco:
Can't post links as I'm a new user, just googe "old crafty hen mysupermarket"

Works out at £1.25 a bottle (usually £2.77 - I guess because it's quite strong?)

If you'd googled "old crafty hen tesco" you would know it is 6.5% and 1 bottle is 3.3 units.

Or more specifically, confusing Morland's Old Speckled Hen with their Old Crafty Hen - 4.5% abv versus 6.5% abv.

No, I'm not. More than half the time (it seems) Old Crafty is one of the stronger beers that regularly slips in priced the same as other bottles. Unlike, say, Duvel which is only occasionally included.

Wasn't complaining about the initial prompt, though.

MSM confirms that the Old Crafty Hen retails at £2.77 (or tuppence more at Sainsbury's) and that the average price over the last year was £2.36. Ergo Old Crafty Hen is "usually" £2.77, and hence £1.25 is a very good price, notwithstanding the fact that it may well have been included in similar special offers recently.
