1st Credit Contacting me (Post Bankruptcy)

My ex wife and I were declared bankrupt back in 2004. We were discharged in 2007(Northern Ireland).
In the past few weeks I have been getting contacted by 1st Credit Ltd looking payment for an Open & Direct loan that was included in my bankruptcy.
What do I need to do now- do I even need to acknowledge their correspondance?- I have not as yet. The loan was included in the bankruptcy 9 years ago, besides that surely it would be Statute barred now?
Should I contact 1st credit or do as I have been- ignoring them?
Regards, ScottieK

Sorry Scottie
I don't know enough about bankruptcy legislation to answer this one, but hopefully bumping the thread will get you an answer.Debt -it's a fight that I'm winning, dealing with debt one day at a time.

If the creditor was named on your bankruptcy petition, then the debt is unenforceable. I would politely reply and tell them that this debt was included in your bankruptcy; say something to the effect that a creditor is not allowed to contact a debtor once a bankruptcy order has been made, and accordingly I trust we will not be corresponding further. Nothing to worry about, the debt was wiped once you were bankrupt.0
