Boss of Beef!!! :D

Hello all -
Just letting you all know that last week I had an e-mail to say I was shortlisted to become the Beefeater Boss of Beef (Sir Ian Botham)'s Apprentice.
I found the comp by getting one of the BOGOF vouchers and entered on their Facebook page.
Today was the day that the 5 shortlisted candidates went to The Oval in London to meet 'Beefy' and ultimately participate in a showdown of steak-cookability that would determine who would become the new Boss of Beef.
Well, guess what! I only went and won it!!!! :j:j:j
It entails a lifetime supply of steak at my local Beefeater, becoming their official steak taster and training at the Whitbread academy!
I'm over the moon! Just got back now after a loooooong day! I also got a trophy and 2 lots of chef whites signed by the man himself!

I had to choose a cut to cook and the top chef chose how it was cooked - in my case I went for rump and it had to be cooked rare. It was then cut at the same time as all the other candidates and judged by the 3 Beefeater officials (including top chef) and Sir Ian Back to comping after a 3-year hiatus :j0 -
It will look good on your CV ! Certainly a taking point lol
