Hi Miss Frankie, I've recently been successful with this. I had a loan with Northern Rock which I paid off last October. I wrote a letter to them saying that I believe I was mis-sold this PPI as I was led to believe that if I didn't take out the PPI then I wouldn't get the loan. They went back to the original telephone application I made with them for the loan and they agreed with me.
I actually got the PPI money paid into my account last Friday.0 -
Were you not eligible for the PPI in the first place?
Have you checked the loan agreement to see whether or not you were.
If the answer is that you were not eligible and missold the answer is probably yes. If the answer is that you were covered by the PPI the answer is most definitely no.0 -
If you have a valid claim to make during the course of loan (i.e. unemployment or sickness), then this can be backdated however you cannot claim back the PPI cost itself for not needing to use it.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 567- Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts0
