"Your application has been agreed with Abbey ready for a valuation to be instructed"
Does this mean if the value is acceptable we have a mortgage?

Hi Hazza,
I'm not an expert but can share my recent experience.
Abbey instructed the valuation. I asked my mortgage broker if this was a good sign, the reply was 'Abbey wont instruct a valuation unless they're happy with everything else'.
So to answer your question, yes - once they're happy with the valuation they will offer the mortgage. It was 1-2 days after the valuation for me.
Good luck
