Success with soft appeal UKPC

Hi Folks
We have received a letter from UKPC this morning cancelling our ticket. This is the direct result of a couple of soft appeals, that were perhaps not so soft.
1. In searching for the land owner of the shopping centre we found contact details for a company that managed the whole centre. We wrote a fairly strong letter showing our disgust and stating that as regular users of the shopping centre for many, many years we and our family would no longer be using shopping there, especially when there is free parking at the nearby out of town shopping centre. The management company wrote back to us with a sincere apology and forwarded our letter to the land owner.
2. We made a soft appeal to UKPC. Again not too soft, we still focussed on the BPA rules and Equality Act. We didn't waffle on with confusing details, but we did state our position and the distress it had caused.
That's one down, one to go, as we have an appeal in with POPLA against Parking Eye.
It can be done, don't pay up, fight it.

Well done - I reckon the landowner/management company involvement swung it so I will add your success to this thread:

Nice result - and the landowner/managing agents now have UKPC's card marked! But in your first thread you said it was UKCPS, which was it please?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

well done to you!
Did you give a strong appeal to popla with parking eye ?When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

Sorry CM, it was UKPC.
Yes i think it was the letter to the management company/landowner that swung it. They state that they have discussed the case with their clients and have decided to cancel the ticket.
Thank you for all of your help.

Hi Stroma
Yes, I placed the POPLA appeal on the forum and got help from you all. I've received an email from POPLA saying that they are now contacting Parking Eye and will respond to my appeal by 11th Nov 2013.
Thank you for your help
