Change in job..impact on application?

Hi,

We intend to apply for a mortgage at some point in the spring, so I'm getting our affairs in line early.

Professionally I'm coming to a "natural break" in my role where the time feels right to seek a change. I'm under no threat of redundancy, this is purely a personal choice career-wise.

My question to you guys is were I to change employers (I've been with my current company since 2007) in the winter/spring before an application, would the extremely short amount of time with the new employers have an adverse impact on an application? (assuming all else is good, no debt, decent deposit and earnings, on electoral roll for ages etc)

Thanks
