No experience of metro for business banking - but certainly with the mainstream banks I've found the key is to make sure you are getting in front of the right person at the bank with some intelligence/ authority and business experience.

Ideally an introduction through a contact such as your accountant is a good way to get in to the higher level staff in the bank's regional teams.
Yeah, metro seemed crap all round, they couldn't open a business account for me, and the service is terrible, even Barclays is better than them, and that's saying something!

That's a good plan, I'm using KPMG for my accounting, so I'm sure they'll have some higher level contacts - currently awaiting a followup email from them RE offshore setups, but I'll message them tomorrow to get that email expedited and see if they have any bank contacts :) I've been looking into private banking as well, most bank staff seem to have no idea about it, but I'll try and schedule a meeting to see if they can come to an arrangement. (Also looking into the big big banks like Deutsche Bank)

Yeah, I can't go into too much detail, but there were certain major tax implications that makes every penny very well spent. It is only their Shoreditch branch though. :p

Weird, I thought I'd said earlier that I wouldn't be answering any more questions on what it is. Looking back, it seems I didn't. Anyways, that now applies, but to answer your question - nope.

EDIT: Ah, there we go, I thought I had.

Not a figment of a bored imagination, and none of those things, although after this post I won't be responding to any questions about what it is I'm doing. It's not FX/betting/currency speculation/day trading/option trading, or anything that high risk. I'm willing to take calculated risks, but nothing like that.
  • Thieving then LOL
  • Never mind the loan & business issues, I'm just totally baffled with all the long business waffle & jargon!!!!
