Where did you buy wooden garden furniture?

Options
I'm looking to buy new table & chairs etc. I've been recomended a place in N'Ards, down the street opposite the market square. I like the idea of it being made locally, but would like a couple of others so I can compare quality and price. Any recomendations would be appreciated.

Thanks. :)
Plenty of mistakes, but no regrets. :)

There used to be a place in Balloo Industrial Estate in Bangor that made them - I think it was a charitable organisation were much of the work was done by handicapped people.

One warning about wooden garden furniture - it needs looking after. Every year It has to be cleaned down and every other year it usually needs to be sanded and retreated ... next time I am going for something that requires less maintenance (could say the same about the wife as well!!)

    Thanks Ivan,
Is that the same one as on the Rathgael Road, or is there another one?

I know what you mean about it being higher maintenance but it should be fine if you cover it during the winter and then re oil it in the spring.

    Thanks again.

By the way has anyone bought from woodstock? is it any good?

I have bought loads of stuff from Woodstock - including all the stuff to put a fence around part of my garden (about 60metres worth of wood, rails, screws, bolts etc.). A couple of weekends ago I got all the bits and pieces for a new gate at the side of my house. Their prices are competitive compared to other Builder Merchants (they can be beaten if you have time to shop arund though) and they are not too heavy on delivery charges.

The place I am talking about is actually in the Balloo estate (I think it is a few factories up from the Charles Hurst garage) - sorry I can't be more precise but the last time we got something from them was in 1998.

    Just an update.
Went around a few at the weekend. Woodstock stuff was great but expensive. Ended up ordering from ye old court yard. Competitive pricing plus he will modify style, finish and dimensions to suit your requirements.

Ordered a 5' table with 2 chairs and a bench seat, plus 2 chairs with arms and a small table £440 the lot.
