Hi All,
As we get ready for another cold winter & rocketing heating bills. I was thinking about buying a Flavel gas fire (there's even one called the Misermatic). I know they look hideous & my wife cant stand them but surely it must cheaper than using the the feeble convector electric fire we have that just seems to dry out my contact lenses!
Please don't suggest changing tariffs to save money we all know cartel merry go round. Are these gas fires really economical ? I do have a gas pipe going to the fire place so with a bit of plumbers tape & a spanner It should be an easy fix. http://static.moneysavingexpert.com/images/forum_smilies/sport-smiley-001.gif Feed back please

"By law, you must be on the Gas Safe Register to carry out gas work in United Kingdom, Isle of Man and Guernsey."

I do hope you're joking. If you're serious, you can't just go fitting gas fires yourself, not even in your own home.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0
