Help needed on a win!

Hi all,

After no communication from them and a few message's from me they have responded saying we will need to make our own way there (cost not met) This will set us back about £100 in petrol! :eek:

The competition post did say travel will be provided, although there does not seem to be any Ts and Cs.

I have responded asking if we would be reimbursed for our petrol costs or train tickets but no reply as yet - as the prize is this Friday coming im a little worried...

any advice welcomed - thanks in advance

They have stated this in their post so they should be adhering to what they have said.

You should keep trying and say that it was stated in the original post that travel would be provided.

It's the time limitation that is the main problem I would have thought. The trip is only 5 days away. Chances are you won't get any response until tomorrow, they probably don't work on Sundays. If they're not forthcoming, perhaps post again on this board and maybe the 'might' of MSE can change their minds

By travel, would they mean to and from the accommodation?

If so It's a badly worded comp. if they don't reply, I'd make some noise on their time line about it, they won't like the bad PR.

They now have my number so hopefully will be getting a call tomorrow, they have only just (half an hour ago) replied to my accepting email. Im not holding out much hope for them getting back in touch quickly!

I know you hope to sort this out in time for Friday, but if it isn't that doesn't mean you cannot continue to negotiate after the event. Just make sure you keep any travel related receipts. Hopefully they will realise they need to pay you for these costs. If they don't and you want to take it further, receipts will help.

GL and don't let it spoil your prize. It would be a shame to let it cast a cloud, especially as there is still a fair chance they will come good.

Thanks Blulu! If we had the choice I would prefer to train it (will be my longest journey without out my hubby in car) but due to costs I think the car will cost less just incase we are unlucky with negotiations...
