Legs leap to freedom

hello

I have been a lurker for many years and since 2006 cleared a load of debt and today have debts of 16k .. the total debt in 2006 was around 40k which was not my doing.
In short i was ill with bipolar and i rented a room to a ''friend'' who decided to take loans, credit cards, mbile contracts, cancelled mortage and took cash from me.. i have had to pay it all back which i have and today the debt of 16k plus my mortage of 42k .
Please dont tell me i shouldnt have paid it back he should the long is it was looked into and i had too so i have...
i have lurked on here and used many tips and hits.
however after being made redudant in feb from a job i loved and thought id be there forever, i am now earning 2.5k less a yr although i have a better work life balance.
the debt is made up of 13k on a secured loan and 3.5k on a credit card. the card is zero percent interest and i took it out to buy a new car in may after the old one was dying monthly, fingers crossed it passes the mot on tuesday.
I also owe mum and dad some money for a new heating system. but the conservatory roof is leaking and the guttering is failing so these need to be repaired soon and id like to do this this winter without mums help!...
i have had my contract confirmed so i may use the remainder of my redudnancy to take 10k off the loan..
i need your help and support because as winter draws in i get depressed and i dont want to get down....
i try survey sites but get bored.. everything online is bought through tcb or amazon!...
i check utlities and pay annual amounts where i can..
i know my debt is not as high as some people on here but i need people who like me want to clear debt and share in the small excitements as over the yrs ive discovered most of my real world friends just spend spend...
please help me take the leap to debt freedom and able to concentrate on the mortage..

Good luck on your debt free fight :)

have you done a SOA? It helps you work out what money youd have left evey month after usual spends and payments to debts... maybe you can save enough for the repairs you need to do whilst making your minimum payments.. ?

Always handy to have someone who knows about those things. Not too scary a price and it allows you to budget for the next lot of works.
Black dress, silver shoes, maybe see if you can find some form of silver headdress type thing. Timeless wedding chic.

My day... Phew... I've had the newborn screaming day from hell, bless her she has a dodgy tum. But the icing has been OH just asking what he can do to help, how about be here, even had to ask my 10 yr old to do the majority of the food cooking as littleun didn't want putting down.
Ahh well, that's how babies are.

Have a nice evening, I'm catching what sleep I can tonight, feel a cold coming on and I won't be having that.
