Has the bullying attitude taken over companies these days?

I think some employers need to learn how to motivate people, treating people like crap isn't gonna motivate anyone if anything it will have the opposite effect, a bit of praise once in a while does go a long way, problem is certain employers will just get rid.

Have you seen some of the posts regarding bullying?
"Funny looks" and "not sharing jokes" are some of the supposed criteria for bullying which usually then involve going on the sick with stress.

You've never been the victim of that then have you?

It's never nice being on the receiving end but when you're on the dishing out end (presumably like you) there isn't a problem. Funny that..

Either way there was still nothing like that mentioned in this thread!

you give a funny look back and regarding the not shared jokes you say 'what's so funny?'.

I joined a team who didn't speak and use to pass post it notes to each other. That stopped when I had been there a few weeks as I got them all more involved in actually talking to each other and 2 more new team members started. Something I think they had actually forgot they could do or were too scared to.

I have been on the receiving end, but just let it wash over me. As long as I got paid I truly could not have cared less whether I was in any particular clique or not. I work to make a living, not as a social occasion.
