cleaning a fabric covered bed base

Anyone got tips with what to clean a bed base with please?

What kind of dirt has it got on it? Filthy - steam clean outside on the back yard, or scrub it on a sunny day. Dirty footprints all over it, wet soapy sponge, towel dry, finish with a hair dryer. Dust, hoover or dyson.

A carpet and suite cleaning firm may do it. Give them a ring and ask.

Thanks both. Sorry - I put down for email notification of replies but haven't had any so that's why I am so late in replying.
It is a bit of damp that we had in the bedroom which has since been sorted. The mattress is brand new. It's just the base is a bit discoloured. As it has drawers I can't cover it up really.
