Genwick Retirement Schem

I've been offered a Pension transfer, to Genwick, thu a co called Deuten Services. Does anyone know anything about this co. I know they haven't been in business long, but checking the FSA register shows different results depending on one's input choice. It looks a bit vague ,or they aren't authorised.

If you have been cold called then it's against FCA rules to do so. Avoid them as they are likely to be non authorised and most scam companies work in this way.
What kind of pension do you have?0 -
The initial contact was a cold call from an "introduction" of one sort or another.I had a flurry of them.
Pension is with the Pru.can't remember what type. Am at work at presentso no access to paperwork.0 -

Most scams come from cold calls. Regulated companies are not allowed to cold call on investments (pensions are investments). So, some try and circumvent it by using third parties. Some are not regulated at any stage to do the transactionst they are recommending.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0 -
Have nothing to do with this, it is 99% likely to be a scam.
Don't give them any personal details.
My advice, never do business with cold callers.0 -
I agree wholeheartedly with the above.
IMHO, if someone is seeking you out for business, there's only one thing they're bothered about, and that isn't your best interests.“In any moment of decision the best thing you can do is the right thing, the next best thing is the wrong thing, and the worst thing you can do is nothing at all.” - Roosevelt0 -

The Pru have already blocked any action, luckily. I couldnt find them on the FSR so will avoid. Thanks for all replies.0

Glad the Pru was on the ball. The regulators have been asking pension companies to do more checks and this looks like a success story for that.0
