Homemade chocolates (coffee beans?)

Options
Hi everyone, I'm new here! I thought i'd sign up in an attempt to find out about my chocolate/coffee bean query.

I like to melt chocolate into silicone moulds to make chocolates for people at Christmas, I managed to buy a bag of roasted coffee beans from work reduced to 40p (not even short dated just stock we don't sell) and thought I could use it in my chocolates this year. Would this work? I have never used coffee beans before, I assume you can eat them as they are from the packet? I have had chocolate covered coffee beans before so thought it might be nice for coffee lovers this year

Thanks in advance
Laura

Well i got my other half a bunch of chocolate coated coffee beans (they looked like the peanuts/raisons you get) and put them in a clean coffee shop coffee cup with a lid for one of his birthday gifts and they were delicious and he loved them! Just enought bean and just enough coffee :) I'm not sure if it would have the same effect it is was a bean surrounded in a lot of chocolate in a mould but then again it could be lovey! Good on you for making interesing chocolates :)
