In january 2011 I moved abroad as was in the process of divoricing. My now ex husband had agreed to remortgage the house as he refused to sell and would give me a reduced sum which iin turn I would settle my outstanding loan. I put everything in motion including a power of attorney but Later in January I found out he cancelled all the preparation or was refused and since february 2011 he took over paying the mortgage and in March i had to stop paying my load as I have no funds as I can not work where I am. My ex refuses to sell the house but im now desperate to return to see a sick relative and also have been left a little money from my uncle but do not know how I can check if there is anything against me in UK and if I returned would I be stopped ion the airport from returnning cause I do h=not have funds to pay the debt?

I seriously doubt anyone will stop you at the airport, if that happened nobody who had debt would ever be able go on holiday or fly anywhere.

Hello, I am in a similar situation to you and can tell you that you will not be stopped on entry to the country unless you have a dodgy passport! So no worries - come home!
I can also tell you that if a condition of your divorce was that your ex would remortgage the house and he has failed to do so, you are entitled to return to court and renegotiate the terms of the divorce as it is not considered 'a clean break'. In other words, you could likely go back to court with a view to force the sale of the home if a remortgage is not possible.
