Annoying spam texts about loans

Hello,
Sorry if this is the wrong place for this, or if this has been discussed recently, but....
Has anyone else been receiving Spam text messages about "Your application for a loan of £2,000 has been accepted."
Over the past 3 days I have had 46 of them - I suspect it is the result of a competition I entered as I use my full name for competitions, but nickname for everything else and this uses my full name. Each time the message is slightly different and comes from a different number.
If it is a competition that is causing a lot of spam texts I just wanted to raise it so other people can protect themselves from it and we can add the offender to the potential spammers list.

Have you got a blocking function on your 'phone? it's a pain, but if you keep blocking all of the numbers you will win!
Good luck.0 -
Hi, yes I have started blocking them and am now down to 2-3 a day, but think this might be because it is the weekend. Will see how it goes tomorrow!
The funny thing is I have become debt free for the first time in about 10 years this week so they are really barking up the wrong tree.Prizes:

I started getting them about 3 or 4 weeks ago most mentioning the name Craig and all from different phone numbers. I found an sms blocker application on Google play (search for "sms blocker") which has stopped almost all of them. The developer has my ever lasting thanks as the app is now silently stopping up to 20 a day during the week.
In addition I have 2 or 3 phone calls a week all answered by voice from different companies. As soon as I say that I am not Craig they apologise and close the conversation. I am fairly sure I was hit by a random phone spam message and my number has been sold on. The last phone call stated that Craig had applied for a loan on a web site. As they make no attempt to sell ME a loan I am a bit mystified.:(0
