She should approach her own bank in the first instance.
I assume she has a job, decent credit history and surplus income?0 -

Even an overdraft may cover it, depending on her age. What about the insurance though, that's normally much more than the car?0

ok,
1) does she have a job, if so what is her income? what does she have left each month after all of her outgoings?
2) what is her credit record like? has she had any credit before and if so has she dealt with it well? any missed or late payments?
3) has she approached her own bank, or any other lenders yet?
also, £1000 is quite a small amount for a loan. she may be better applying for an overdraft or credit card, if possible. These may work out cheaper for her.
and.....
as someone has mentioned, is your daughter sure she can afford insurance and running costs for a car?
These are usually more than the price of an actual car. And If your daughter needs to borrow £1k, then it sounds like she doesn't have a lot of spare cash.0
