Endowments poicys

Hi My Dad
had the above and had to cash it to cover the mortage but as it under the missold issues can do any thing eg ask for a refund from the isnurance company

    That would depend on when it was purchased and who sold it.

    You only complain to the insurer if the insurer's representative sold it.

    If it was bought via an intermediary, the intermediary would be the first port of call.

    If this was bought pre-1988 and surrendered before the FSA started requiring the issue of shortfall letters, you may not have grounds for complaint now.

    well if sold by on of there agents on beahal of the comapny then as not able to find the agent who sold the policy as he may have left the company or gone to the big office upstaris then what to do

    You only need to know the seller was representing the insurer. Then you complain to the insurer. The rep could have moved on, died, whatever, but you are complaining to the insurer, not the rep.

    Can you explain what exactly it is that you are after as it isnt clear from your post?

    You cant just ask for a refund because of a shortfall. There has to be a reason for c complaint about the sale and the endowment cannot be timebarred (over three quarters of those left are timebarred)
