Where to find second hand dresses?

I've fallen for a beautiful dress but the price tag is hefty. I've been looking in all the usual places for a second hand one such as gumtree, ebay, Facebook selling sites, preloved, sellmyweddingdress, hitched, weddingbee.
Anywhere else I can be looking that you fine people know of?

Oxfam have a wedding dress site. Also for my daughters wedding we went to the wedding dress factory outlet, Bolton. There dress prices are excellent, approx £450 so worth a visit. They have 3 stores.Nothing Changes if Nothing Changes0

Hi, what about trying a dressmaker? I can't afford my dress but took some pics to one and she's now making a very similar dress (I wanted it slightly different) for half the money! Just and idea :-)0

Thanks folks. I can't get a UK dressmaker to touch it because of copyright. I did find a China one but thank goodness I asked them to send me a photo of a copy they'd made previously because when they did, it was nothing like the one it was meant to be a replica of, truly saved myself there!0

How about trying to contact stockists to see if they have any samples, or any (dare I say it) cancelled orders? Or asking if it is due to be reduced at a designer day or something?
I'm a fan of sellmyweddingdress, I found my dress on there and bought it for less than half the price of the shop - unworn, unaltered, the lady selling it for whatever reason hadn't got married, but it was too late to cancel the order so still had to purchase it.
Also, may sound like a silly question, but have you tried the dress on in a shop? I fell in love with a dress in a picture, and when I tried it on really didn't suit me at all!! In fact, I ended up with a dress which was exactly what I said I didn't want, and it suited me perfectly - and I loved it!MFW 2016 #32 £1574.66/£1500:j:j0 -

It's the bernadette dress by Sottero. Absolutely stunning!! I've found them second hand but they are either way off size or the seller won't post it. Thought I'd snagged it on eBay until the bidding went crazy.0

Have you tried Preloved or Gumtree?
