Eon - Fit meter reading:

A couple of weeks ago Eon attended to read my FIT meter.

seemed strange to me - they hadn't in the year before.

Have they read anyone elses?

Not that it matters you understand, I have been submitting exact readings on the right dates (give or take) - but I found it strange he came out - do they think I haven't been do you reckon? Or have they visited you too?

I believe it's been mentioned here before.

ISTR conversation started with somebody having their meter read and being told it was mandatory to have it done at least every two years. I replied that I was very close to having had a TGM for two years but had never had it read. Following week a meter reader knocked on the door !

ah, thanks chaps - I was anxious but I suppose it makes sense.
  • Interesting topic. I'd been thinking of starting a thread to ask if anyone ever gets a visit to check their Generation Meter. My installation is just under two years old and I haven't had a visit yet. My FiT is paid through Good Energy.

I'd be interested to read of others' experiences.

    Morning all,

Thought I would just pop in.

Reading a FIT meter is similar to reading any meter really, we need to do it just to check it's safety and that the reads are falling in line etc.

We need to read meters once every two years.

    Hope this helps a little.

  • Just had an e-mail from Good Energy:
Our meter inspection partners, Lowri Beck, are due to visit the above property over the next 6-8 weeks.
Looks like they may just get it done within the two years.

The inspector came today, about two years and seven weeks after installation. Close, but no cigar.
