Many thanks for the heads up on this one OP
just collected mine and they gave me the memory card with 10 games preloaded so ps vita and 12 games+memory card for £129 (£10 gift card)
  • Great stuff! Really pleased people took advantage of the offer.

For those new to Vita I find you have to hold it differently to the 3DS XL. It is a touch heavier but the screen is amazing and the image quality of games every bit as good as my PS3. You might also not like the way you insert games because you need to pull out the cartridge cover attached on rubber tabs. This could be a bit fiddly for some.

Remote Connection seems to work ok with PS3 but I think that's more of a PS4 feature as new games will have that built in?

One tip is that when you first power it up you can get caught in a system update loop when you try to link your Playstation Network account. So the best thing to do is to choose the other option and keep going. You can then update via system settings which is much easier.

Using mine Wi-fi only and works perfectly well. No 3G contract required. Will defo be using my £10 voucher to buy a case for travel. That screen is far too nice to get scratched.

There already was a subject on this from Tesco, there is little point making a separate topic for every shop and location you find it Smartbear (plus you couldn't be bothered to thank the OP)

    Whats the console like ?

It seems a good price for a handheld gaming device plus the ten games if you get it from Tesco makes it an attractive deal.

Brilliant little device, more than happy with the PS One classics I can get and Killzone is a great game. Would happily recommend it.
  • Damn don't have any money until Friday otherwise I would have had that argos deal.

Can anyone answer me why just the wifi verion is £40 more in argos, compared with the wifi/3g version? :S

I'd guess it's because they're trying to shift the wifi/3g models because that idea failed a little bit. Wifi is all you need for Vita really, wouldn't want to try and play online or download on a 3G connection.

Please could you type that again in a way that is more helpful to me? Also it might be helpful to explain what an OP is?

I was just reporting a bargain and enjoying a conversation online and I give my sincerest apologies to anyone who was inconvenienced by my new thread. Judging from the posts I would suggest that some have benefited from the experience.

Perhaps if the board guides comments are framed in a friendly yet informative way that would be really helpful? The text "you couldn't be bothered" reads like an accusation to me. Perhaps you might like to think about how that makes me feel? I'm certainly thinking twice about posting anything on MSE again at the moment.
