I going to put forward Left 4 Dead 1&2 for consideration. Fun games, and even better if you have people to play it with.I have no signature.0

Resi 5 & 6 are both pretty short (Resi 6 criminally so, but added to that is the fact it's repetitive given the nature of the game!), not "bad" games really, but not ones which will grab you for long.
I second the Orange Box suggestion, especially if you can get it on the cheap.Retired member - fed up with the general tone of the place.0 -
Dead Space - 7/10 Good game, air of menace hangs over it, overall good plot but you are essentially an errand boy going from one end of the ship back to the other and it can be repetitive.
Rage special edition - 7/10 Great shooter, possibly the best shooting mechanics of any game I've played. Derivative story though and the worst ending of any game I've played.
I agree with the Orange Box, the HL2 games have probably the best storylines i've played in a FPS, and Portal is great.
Looking at your list you may like the first Bioshock, I keep going back to Fallout 3, and I'm currently playing Red Dead Redemption for the first time.0 -
Oh i forgot to rate the games:
Dead Space - 7/10 - good and tense survival horror.
Resident Evil 5 - 2/10 (5/10 if you have somebody to play with)
Dead Space 2 - 8/10 - more of the same, but better
Resident Evil 6 - not played
Fable 3 - NO! Get fable 2 if you want a shallow, short, insultingly easy rpg. Fable 3 continues the series' downward spiral.
Rage special edition disc - not played
Halo the new remade version of the original - 6/10. Decent FPS that has aged surprisingly well. the library is still awful though.0 -
Thanks everyone, resi 3 went down to 3 quid so i bought it
wish i had read this first, ok i will get the rest in time. Cheers.
Owed out = lots. :cool:0 -
Dead Space
3/10
I couldn't get to grip with the controls or the camera angles used, others rate the game highly however so perhaps just personal choice.
Fable 3
8/10
The game suffered somewhat on release through overhyping raising expectations too high, but revisited its an enjoyable game.
Rage special edition disc
8/10
Never could place my finger on why but this should have been a AAA title but somehow failed in the execution. A nice to have.
Halo the new remade version of the original
10/10
Awesome game, worth it just to play it full and proper HD (using original graphics) as the XboxOriginals version on XBlive wasnt quite up to it.
Halo ODST
9/10
No chief but who cares, interesting level design and enemy AI plus it being quite atmospheric means worth a look. Its also the first appearence of Firefight (horde mode) although thats best played MP.
Rated the one's Ive played....0 -
I agree with AlecEiffel, looking at your list you'd probably like the Fallouts 3 and New Vegas

I love both of these and spent 100s of hours on both, I'd rate F:NV higher than F3 if I had to choose.
GOTY editions for both are quite cheap and include all DLC, a lot of game for your £££.0 -
Resident Evil 5 and 6. It's Epic Dude.0

Dead Space is one hell of a ride. But be prepared, it will actually scare you.0
