Hi,
I have been paying child support for the last 11 years, never missed a payment, so no arrears. 3 or 4 months ago my daughter left home to live with her boyfriend and left collage in July 2013. My case was closed with the CSA at the beginning of September.
A couple of weeks ago my daughter split with her boyfriend and returned to her mothers house, she is now looking at going back to collage for another year. She will be 19 next week.
If requested by the mother will the CSA now re-open this case as before?
Thank you in advance for any help.

I've got a feeling that the qc(qualifying child) has to have actually been accepted onto a course by their 19th birthday so unless she's already signed onto one she's left it a bit late !0

But if she were to be accepted on a course of education, a further case could be opened.0

yes crellow, it could,,, csa is now payable to the age of 20, and as long as qc can get accepted on a course, csa will be payable , irrelevant of how many times child has left home, or stopped and started courses.
I speak from experience0 -
So considering her birthday is in October, when she hits 20 next year will child support stop on that day? I read somewhere that child support only stops in September, so would I be paying until September of the following year if she stayed in education?
Thanks for your replies.0 -
Your liability would cease on the first Monday in September or her 20th birthday if she remained in education after September 2014.0
