Also you guys said about claiming back the payments after the initial payment - you post off your bill (you getin the post i assume) to the address given via recorded delivery - then they credit you back to your credit card/bank account?

Bah i just got an email:

"Although your handset may be free, in order to ensure you connect your handset we require a £75 authorisation from your payment card. This authorisation is lifted when you connect your phone.

Unfortunately we have been unable to gain authorisation on your payment card for this amount.

Please note that you must connect your handset within 2 weeks of its delivery. If you are still unconnected after this time we are entitled to debit the £75 from your payment card."

Must have got the details wrong. But what does it mean connect the phone? So i get the phone and connect it, then if i dont use the calls i will get no more charges then the £4.99/month?

    Lots of questions there steve!!

    1) You send a letter to orange giving them a months notice to cancel your contract, they should receive this before 11 months in time has passed from when you were initially connected.

    2) Not sure I really get what your saying - there is a detailed explanation on this posted by someone over the page. The cashback is by cheques.

    3) Connected means that you connect the contract with orange, yes if you don't use it you will pay no more than £4.99 per month over the year.

Does this offer include itemised billing, or are they going to sting you with an extra charge for that as well?

Also, which is best, CPW or e2save, i note e2save appears to only be £4.99 for 11 months?

    *****IMPORTANT****

Every1 who orders this remember CPW will give you £20 for your old phone incl. charger & instructions. If you don't have a rubbish one then go to a car boot & pick one up for a couple of quid

If you haven't requested one at order stage then drop them an email and request a jiffy bag to post your old phone to them in.

itemised billing is £1.50 per month!

They are both the same deal, e2save is £4.99 for 12 months. However personally I'd go with CPW as much less hassle getting your cashbacks! Remember to get your £12.50 by going through rpoints!

Ah, must have changed, was sure that e2save was 11 months before (and perhaps had a headset included??)

As it includes billing, then that is excellent!

    Thanks.
  • To answer a few of the questions - this is a cashback deal.
That means that CPW and E2Save - will reimburse your cash according to the cashback schedules that you agreed by signing the contract.

    The CPW deal is -
You pay £15 for the first three months
then £30 for the remaining nine

CPW pay you £75 straightway then £60 on in month 4,8 & 12 - on receipt of the copies of the bills.

E2Save is similiar - except with only 2 cashbacks at month 6 & 12 of £97.56 and an initial £60.

CPW will want folks to activate their phones - this then triggers the network connection fee back from Orange to CPW - which is how CPW are funding the deal.

Just to further money save on this deal - buy through Rpoints and get 1250 points and ring CPW and ask to trade in a phone and charger £20 - brings the price down to £27.50 pa.

Anyone wanting to buy from E2Save - I have a referral code that will give you £20 back on the referrers board - but the CPW deal through Rpoints and trade in is pretty much unbeatable.

Thanks darren - rang them up and got the credit card £75 autherisation sorted!

So after activation of the phone - i could unlock it and use my PAYG sim for txts (as i get em free) and use the contract sim for calls under 200 mins and just cancel it around the 11th month peroid? and only pay the £4.99 - no other hidden charges

Also the 200 mins/month - is that cross network mob/landline calls?

Sorry for all the questions - just im new at contract phones, avoided them in the past for PAYG!
