Entering tv competitions online. do you have same chance of winning?

hi there,
just wondered if anyone has entered one of the tv programme competitions online and won?
i tend to enter them for free online these days to avoid running up huge phonebills but wonder if you have as much chance of winning as when you phone the competition line. i am a bit sceptical as surely its the telephone entries that generate the income in order for them to offer the prize in first place?
interesting to hear your views.
