Help to Buy 2 and late payments

Hello, newbie here looking for some advice.
My partner and I are looking at buying with help to buy 2, we have a 5% deposit saved as well as money for fees and stamp duty.
Does anyone know what our chances of getting accepted are as we both have a couple of late payments (no more than a month late) from over 2 years ago? Since then we have both been very good at using credit cards and paying off in full each month. We have no defaults or CCJ's.
Thanks in advance.

What you describe does not make you excluded under the impaired credit definition of the Help to Buy phase 2 rules.
You will still need to pass credit score however with the lender which is likely to be tight.
In short, not a definite no but you wont know until you apply.I am a Mortgage Broker

Thanks for your response, we're going to see a natwest mortgage advisor in the next few weeks and just be 100% honest and see what they say. Fingers crossed!TTC since September 20150
