Hi any help greatly appreciated.
Does anybody know if any Mortgage lenders such as NatWest,Halifax etc, would accept an employed person with continuous employment history but who has recently started a new job and is hence on six months probation?

Yes. Several lenders accept probationary employment.

Assuming you did leave one job and started the new job within a week or so then yes it shouldnt be a problem with the majority of lenders.
