Hi
I have been a lurker for more years than i can remember especialy in winter. I have in the last 6 years cleared 30k plus and have 13k to go. Please note that this wasnt my debt, in a nutshell i rented a room to a so called friend. Who very kindly took out loans, credit cards, store cards, mobile contracts, cancelled the mortgage and took money from my account.
This occurred because i was in the early stages and had bad bipolar. Im now 100 per cent better and have been for yrs. Please do not tell me i should never have paid it back, this was looked into by my medical team at the time and basically my word against his and i was as some might say insane.
However i am now a lot better, he is no longer in my life and life is now great!!
I got made redundant in feb this yr from a place i loved. I had 6 weeks unemployed and the dear government gave me 68 for the privilege i got a part time job and have now secured a full time job but on 3k less than i was on but its less hours no weekends and therefore the worklife balance is better..
i am here because i need some people who want to clear debt and who will support and kick me when i need it..
I have 10k i could use to pay most of the 13k off as this is secured against the house.. the savings would still be around 2k however i need an emergency fund and also the conservatory roof needs replacing asap.
I dont have anything to sell on ebay, i switch all utilities and insurances using cashback, Anything online gets bought through cashback.
In May this yr i met a great guy who is no where near the idiots or stealers id previously gone with! due to his shifts we only see each other at the weekend and its usually a walk in the park and dinner out. We share who pays and are now buying groupon and wowcher vouchers to get nice meals for half price!!
So please be nice and help me kick this final 6k debt once ive binned this 10k... The other 3k is on a zero percent credit card to buy a new car in may.. it was a necessity and i am paying minimum payments.
