Am after a decent face paint for Halloween that isn't gonna come off after the first hug or kiss on the cheek. I'm 36 and the last time I used face paint it was a crude crayon type thing at junior school, I'm sure its come on loads since then haha
What should I be looking for for a good finish?
Cheers

Snazzaroo is a semi professional brand, usually available in party/fancy dress type shops. Be prepared to pay about £3-4 pounds each colour though I believe they are cheaper on ebay, I've never bought from there.
Grimas face paints are more expensive and harder to find but I prefer the results, stronger colours with a slight glossy appearence.
If you want the 'face' to last - use as good quality paints as you can afford, and proper face paint brushes and sponges (not normal paintbrushes) watch a few youtube tutorials to get an idea of how thick the paint should be, if the brush or sponge is too wet you will get washed out results. Take your time, let each colour dry before moving on to the next. Chose simple faces (don't start off with Darth Maul!) facepainting looks a lot easier than it is, especially with a wriggling child!
Be aware professional face paint can stain clothing - to be honest even with high quality stuff it's not the time to be giving hugs!

Grimas are fantastic, but Snaz is good for one night.
Also, for adult skin, coloured hairsprays are good for a base coat, and I'd advise a light mist of normal hairspray to fix it.
