What about Wizzard's I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday?
It's really Christmas when I hear that!
Not really my favourite though but I don't think I can pick just one. So many lovely Christmas songs - except Mariah Carey :eek:

The original version of Do They Know It's Christmas, by Band Aid, is my all time favourite. I learned the words during an O level geography lesson (not what I was supposed to be doing
)
I also like Fairytale of New York, and that's my Mum's favourite, which always surprises me - she's eighty in a couple of weeks, and it isn't her usual taste in music :rotfl:
TBH, I like most Christmas pop songs, and often put them on the music channel to have a dance and sing with the kids a bit closer to the time. I'm always amazed at how well I can remember the words, despite not having heard or sang them for most of the year.0 -
Another one for Fairytale of New York, but then again, I am Irish! I have a charity cd of this somewhere at home which was recorded by 2 actors, they are posing as an old couple looking back over their life and interpreting things differently to each other, is quite poignant to hear them "rowing" the spoken elements but making up to the music. You can visualise them sitting by an open fire, with logs blazing, shawl around the wife and him with his cap on and pipe in hand. Must find what box it is in!A smile costs little but creates much0

Fairytale of New York, because it's so gorgeously atmospheric! However, I'm such a Christmas song fan I can complete a top 5:
1) Fairytale of New York
2) Last Christmas
3) Sleigh Ride
4) Carol of the Bells
5) A Spaceman Came Travelling0 -
