Not wonderful. Used glue dots but wish I'd got a glue gun as I found the dots difficult to use.

I think that looks pretty good. Might have a go myself. Thanks for a fab idea! :)

Careful with a glue gun as it will melt the chocolate! Can you tell I'm speaking from experience? :rotfl:

I never even thought of that! Using the little glue dots dispenser was so difficult that I am convinced I have turned everything on the sleigh into flake!

Still, I will persevere and get some ribbons and bows and become more creative hopefully.

Would some icing work as well as glue?

Might be worth a try but don't think it would withstand much movement.
  • Looks great!! :) I made them for the first time last year and have to admit I ended up using sell0tape to hold the kitkat to the candy canes in the end!! I wrapped all the chocolates up and put them as place settings and the kids loved them

I use double sided sticky tape on mine and that holds up pretty well. I also learned about the glue gun = melted chocolate lol.

  • I think I'll have to make some of these with my kids :)
  • I started making some of these for the first time last week, and I found double sided tape worked quite well, especially for sticking the candy canes to the KitKat, as you can have a piece of tape running the length of it which gives you a large surface area to stick the cane too, as opposed to glue dots which I found a bit small and fiddly.
