If you haven't managed to get your free O2 SIMs before, here's another chance and apparently it's today only. Found on the AOL homepage.

I live in hope. Ive applied god knows how many times before and havent received any yet. I think if you have applied once previously they disregard any future applications as i did have some free o2 sims from them many years back.

Thanks for this. Does anyone know whether the 10quid/month that you need to keep topping these SIMs up with can be used for voice calls (ie £10 buys you 100 voice mins with 300 SMS free) or not (ie £10 buys you 300 SMS 'free')?

Yes. The £10 top ups can be used for voice calls and continues to remain valid forever. The free texts only apply to months in which there is a top-up.

Yes - the £10 is valid for voice calls - but these cards are even better now. You can opt for the 300 free texts or a mixture of calls and texts - either 100 xnet minutes/ or 100 texts / or 33 multimedia messages. Once these free minutes/texts/mm messages have run out or your 30 day validity period is up - you've still got the £10 top up to use. To activate this - mixture of free xnet mins and texts - text ONCALLSMSG to 21300.

i don't think so, you must just be unlucky cause i've received the sims everytime i have applied for them. Must have had more than 25 over the past few years

hehe.. I wish everytime these are on offer people didn't have to explain how they work Re: top ups.. heh.

the text option is much better than the calls/texts really though (assuming you use more than 100 texts..)

cos if you say use 50 texts before you make a call.. you're left with only 50 free mins left.. and obviously minutes cost more than texts.. hmm.
