It's great to see that Bitcoin is becoming part of the vocabulary of more and more people when discussing any financial/economic matters.0

I've never heard a single 'real' person talk about Bitcoin.
That's always the case with new technologies.
Bitcoin is still in the early stages of adoption and even knowing of it at this stage puts you ahead of the curve.
But regardless of whether bitcoins as a currency survive, Bitcoin as a technology is here to stay and is the future of money.0 -
From an article I read in NYTimes the Republican loonies will be in contravention of the 14th Amendment of the Constitution if they do not ratify and extension of the debt ceiling.
"The Validity of the public debt of the United States of America, authorized by Law is sacrosanct and shall not be questioned" ..... so say's the amendment.
It was passed in June 1866 to ensure that the debts of the US would be honoured, whilst they would not be liable for those run up by the Confederacy.
http://www.nytimes.com/2013/10/08/opinion/obamas-options.html?_r=0More than three generations later, in 1935, Chief Justice Charles Evans Hughes, ruling in the case of Perry v. the United States, revisited the amendment and affirmed the “fundamental principle” that Congress may not “alter or destroy” debts already incurred.
House Republicans threatening to refuse to raise the debt ceiling — that is, force a repudiation of debts already accrued — would violate that “fundamental principle” of the Constitution.'In nature, there are neither rewards nor punishments - there are Consequences.'0 -

Today's fashion - tomorrow's Green Shield Stamp.
I only know about it because of reference on this forum. I really don't understand it, and have researched it enough to learn that I really don't want to know any more about it [although I have trashed my toaster just in case].
But I do remember Green Shield Stamps very well. I will recommend a new thread discussing the relative merits of Green Shield Stamps v the Co-op 'Divi'.
Meanwhile, I am awaiting the time when I wake up one morning and find the headline news about someone called 'dryhat' becoming the first bitcoin millionnaire, only to find that 5 minutes later, the whole fortune has been 'mined away' thanks to an aggressive geoforce video card in Nigeria.0 -

If this post is anything to go by then, despite having "researched all about it", you obviously know nothing about Bitcoin.0 -
