I won but they wanted money

I just got a call telling me I had won a photo shoot worth £250.00! That I could bring a couple of people along and enjoy a make over....all I had to do was pay £30.00 per person :mad::eek:

I told them I was a poor student and could not afford that amount

hi, in my humbles I think it's just as good to post in here (CCC) as most peeps on mse visit this section lots & there's always someone/a member/peep around to help/point things in the right direction if we can
tbh in my humbles I generally think it's better to ask in here as sometimes search can be a bit hit & miss & as said there's usually someone who knows where things can be found to save lots of time searching

Was it with Venture photography? There's been something similar with them in the past, I believe, but not sure if there still is.

I know this is a scam, but actually I did this with a friend many, many years ago. The makeover and photoshoot was for free. I also 'won' it in a comp. We went for the day and really enjoyed it. The scam was that they wanted you to pay an extortionate price if you wanted to buy any of the pics. We bought one each, and it was well worth it. Fab day and fab pic - and I don't say that about my pics usually
