Sofa Beds for Everyday use

Do they exist? I need a sofa bed thats going to be my main bed for a few months - needs to be as good as a real bed.

The fact that it has to fold into a sofa means the mattress will be dreadful. If it can fold into three to fit into a seat frame it'll be thin and weedy.

How do you feel about futons? A decent futon mattress will be relatively comfy for a few months if shaken and turned, and without a chair frame to have to fit into means the mattress can be a bit thicker.

Good news they do exist or used to anyway, I used to sell 1 just as you described.

The mattress only had 1 fold in it as it slide under the back cushions and then the foot end folded over.

Bad news, be looking at around 4 figures.

Agreed a futon will be cheaper option for sure.

I've been looking at some from https://www.thesofabed.com and will probably buy one if I can choose a fabric (free samples coming) They have some very good reviews, and look very much better than anything i've seen online. Quality comes at a price I guess!

Making any product to do 2 different jobs well is always going to cost so what. In this case the mattress must be up to scratch and to make a folding mattress of any quality I'm afraid to say does cost. Especially as the economy of scale doesn't come into play.
