That website made me feel OLD!
I remembered MiL Mark 1's 'dream meal' in 1972: Prawn cocktail, followed by Coq au vin, then Black Forest gateau (usually followed by indigestion tablets). Beef bourguignon was always mis-pronounced - as was 'aDvocado', but appeared regularly when she wanted to impress.
They had a swirly patterned carpet, melamime mock-wood table and plastic (sorry, leather-look) padded chairs that made a rude noise if you sat down quickly, and she made a big fuss about getting her 'pastry forks' out of the 'display unit'!I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0
