where to buy the cheapest mince pies for events

Hi there guys thought now the cheap tins of roses are here!! that it might be fun to start a mince pie thread as some people buy in bulk for events. I've only seen them in sainsburys so far at 2 for £2.

Lidl has them in, I think they were in packs of 6, not sure about the price though might be in the £2 range.

I saw them in Lidl reduced from £1.89 to £1.49 for 12, which is a great price for a quality product (although the pastry is not buttery, but am guessing that you wouldn't be too bothered if its for an event). Expire mid November though so timing is everything.

I'm pretty sure Tesco usually does a Value mince pie, though I couldn't say how good they are as I don't like mince pies :)

morrisons do a pack of 9 mini mince pies which are on offer at the moment when you buy 2 packs - sorry didn't notice how much they cost but did notice that they have little pastry holly leaves on top :)

The mini ones are great for an event though.

***Sainsburys have the Taste the Difference mini ones (9 to a pack) £2.50 or 2 packs for £4. I only saw the all-butter ones with the pastry cut-out star on top, I hope they have the selection ones again this year.***
