Recording 'Play on demand' Radio Progs of BBCi

I am not sure on the legal aspect of this- so maybe someone can advise me on this as well as my question. Does anyone know of a way of recording/downloading programmes off the radio player on the bbc website? Sometimes I hear programmes that I would really like to download- but because it uses streaming audio (on real player) it is impossible to download. The only other way I can think of is to record it while it is playing. This is a bit of a pain as I would have to download this in real time. Also I am not sure if I have any software that can actually record 'what I hear'?

Anyone had any experience with this kind of thing? This question would apply to other radio stations that broadcast or have play on demand programmes as well.

I contacted the BBC about this, there was a music program I wanted to record so I could play it at school. I didnt ever get a reply.

http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ will allow the recording of radio shows.

Yes it will work. It will record the audio in real time and you can save it as an mp3 or ogg vorbis file. The program worls well.
