Vouchers which are home printed

Anyone else having problems with money off vouchers which are home printed?
Firstly to get the vouchers printed is a problem. Half the time they don't print at all so I have to get them posted if thats an option, sadly not always available.
Secondly then redeeming them. I was turned down in a large Tescos for both the McCain and Lactofree ones. The reason is that they were 'home printed' which they won't accept. What rot..... Any excuse. Now I have some product I wouldn't have bought had it not been for the voucher. It's too much hassle to remove them once they've gone through the till and packed. I've complained to both McCain and Lactofree who are looking into it.

I've often had problems with these vouchers, at best they've been greeted with suspicion by the cashier, at worst they've been either refused or just won't scan. I've managed to use the Dr Oetker pizza ones but 9 times out of 10 they don't scan and the cashier's had to input it manually.0

I had a polite disagrement with a Waitrose manager who refused to honour a "photocopied" voucher. Since my home printer prints, copies & scans (all rather badly) I could see his point, but explained. He still refused to accept the voucher so I left him with the shopping, went up the road & the same voucher was accepted by Sainsburys without a cheep.0

I've only had a coupon refused once as the sales assistant thought i needed to buy three items to get money off, when i only needed to buy one.
I wasn't getting anywhere and couldn't be bothered to waste more time arguing so left the store without the item and e-mailed Tesco to ask about their coupon policy.
They apologised about the coupon not being accepted and the next day i went to the exact same store and picked up the item with no problem!

Must admit I've never had a problem with home printed coupons.Luck is believing you’re lucky – Tennessee Williams

It is up to Tesco etc to decide if they will accept them, the manufacturer cannot force them to.
I always use the option to get them posted if there is one (it's not free if you have to print it at home) and there seem to be fewer problems with the "proper" print ones as well.0 -
Our local Tesco won't accept home printed vouchers. Two years ago a cashier made a big issue of calling for a second opinion then the manager in front of a long queue simply for a KitKat voucher. Very embarrassing. Never tried again since!0

:T I would probably do that as well! Or at least hand the single item back, depends how rudely they treated me.
I couldn't even get the McCain coupon to print or post, just wouldn't work at all but McCain customer services were extremely helpful.
I nearly always select the post option now rather than using my own ink.0
