Batch cooking with Cod?

Hi
I am busy getting a list together of foods to batch cook next week when my maternity leave starts
I have a surplus of cod fillets (long story my parents fish - alot!) and wanted to make some fish dishes but wanted to know if it is ok t freeze cooked cod?
will it taste/be ok when defrosted? I am sure it will be 'safe' but not cooked and reheated it - not sure it will taste nice...
anyone have any experience in this?
And if I make fishcakes - freeze before or after cooking them?

Love reading the oldstyle board...always something to learn!

You can certainly freeze cooked cod in things like fish pie and fishcakes.
When I make fishcakes I usually freeze uncooked, although I don't think there's any reason why you can't freeze them cooked if that's what you'd prefer to do.

thanks
looking forward to have a stocked freezer for when the baby arrives - from what I have been told it is going to be chaos

When I had my first baby I remember saying that no matter what anyone told you, nothing could prepare you for how the baby takes over everything and every where.
I too would freeze fish pie. Hope you manage to get loads done which will be such a big help when the baby does come.

I misread the title, I thought it said "Batch cooking with God". The image that formed in my mind gave me a little chuckle!0

lol - still laughing at previous posts!
Hun, if I am unsure about freezing cooked dishes, I think - is the same thing in the freezer section of the supermarket? if it is, then it is a safe bet that home cooking and freezing will be completely safe.0
