Back to sporadic payment

A DEO is in place and has been for several years. There have been issues since the beginning with the employer beign very lax. First there were no payments with the employer declaring only when contacted by the CSA that the NRP was no longer working there (he was and was actively seen working for the same place). This was done twice but the employer was caught out both times. Following this, payments just stopped for no reason or would be sporadic. They only started complying properly with the DEO when the CSA issued what they described to me as a 'criminal compliance letter' - they explained that the letter told the employer that if they defaulted again, they would be fined.
That was a couple of years ago and I've seen regular payments since. It hasn't always been for the amount calculated, sometimes they pay less than they should but near enough that it didn't bother me too much. It then dropped down so significantly I rang the CSA to complain. Unfortunately I got a nippy person on the phone who told me that they can only pass on what the employer actually gives them.
Now for the past few months I have been receiving what I should receive weekly on behalf of my children monthly. So instead of £50 per week I have received £50 a month.
I have no idea whether this is the CSA system not passing on payments or the employer not receiving them so I will be phoning tomorrow but before I do so, I have a question.
If it is a case of the employer being lax again, can I insist that the CSA take it further? Of course, I understand that the CSA can only pass on what they receive but where an employer isn't sending what they are supposed to and a criminal compliance letter has already been sent then surely the CSA should chase this up with the employer?
Thank you in advance.

It depends on the reasons behind the employer not sending the full amount - legally they have to leave the NRP with 60% of the income used for the last assessment. If the NRP is doing less hours, or earning less, then that could be a factor in what they're sending.
It's still worth giving the CSA a call and asking them to investigate further, point out that the payments are much lower than they should be.0 -
Thank you very much, I appreciate your response.
Am supposed to receive four payments for the same amount each month but am only receiving one payment a month. I'll give them a ring tomorrow and ask them to look into it.0
