Braised beef in the slow cooker

Morning,
I want to use my slow cooker for the first time today and have bought some braised beef with loads of vegetables. Can someone give me a recipe I can use to make a beef casserole/type stew?
Sorry if this has been asked a hundred times already, I just can't find what I'm looking for! Also, I need to prepare it fairly soon as I'm going for an 'energetic' (rather be in bed) walk with a pal at 9!
Cheers, Birdy

Hi
Brown your beef in a pan as normal with shake of salt and pepper, saut! onions and root veg at the same time, put in slow cooker with just enough water coming through, give it a good stir and leave on low for 4-6 hours put on high just before serving, remove lid and add bisto! If you want to add dumplings out them in 20 mins before serving.
Simple but wholesome!Every days a School day!0 -
